Childbirth Express - for Parents on the Go!
This accelerated express class is packed full of important information to help you feel prepared for labor and birth. It is perfect for people who have limited time but want information on the essential elements of childbirth. This class is also perfect for those who have previously given birth and want a refresher.
The 3-hour class is a condensed version of our regular Childbirth Preparation Intensive. Relaxation/breathing techniques are explained, but there is limited time to practice. This course includes:
Signs of labor
When to call your doctor
Options for pain management – both medical (including epidural) and non-medical (including breathing, massage and positioning)
What procedures and interventions are common during labor and birth.
Role of your support person(s)
The time spent in this class will help prepare you for what to expect at the hospital, learn about your various options and confidently participate in your care and express your desires to your support team.
All instructors are certified childbirth educators and have attended births at all of the major NYC Hospitals and Birth Centers.
Class Details:
Childbirth Preparation is a 3 hour one-day EXPRESS class. People planning on birth center births or people looking for an in-depth Prep class should take our full Childbirth Prep Class.
When to take: Any time in your third trimester.
Class Cost:
$345 for one or two people. This includes the pregnant mom and her partner or support person.

El objetivo es presentar el trabajo de parto como un proceso fisiológico normal y ofrecerle información detallada con el fin de que usted tenga una experiencia de parto más gratificante.
Todos nuestros instructores son educadores certificados los cuales han asistido a partos en todos los principales centros de maternidad y hospitales en la ciudad de Nueva York.

Preparación Para El Parto es una clase de 3 horas que se reune un día durante el fin de semana o una noche durante la semana. El almuerzo esta incluido durante las clases de fin de semana.
Cuando:
Se recomienda tomar la clase en cualquier momento durante su tercer trimestre.
Costo:

Rules
Cancellation Policy
We keep our classes small in size and preregistration is required. Most of our classes fill up months ahead. Payment is due at time of registration to reserve your spot. All purchases are considered a final sale.
Refund Policy:
No Refunds given after 48 hours after initial registration.
Within 48 hours of initial registration (the time when you book your class not the time when your class is held) a refund will be given minus a $25 administrative fee.
Rescheduling Policy:
If you need to reschedule a class City Births will try to accommodate (1) one reschedule with 14 or more business day notice at no charge based on availability, request made within 14 business days or less there is a $50 change fee based on availability, however request made with five business day or less notice will not be honored and you will have to purchase a new class. Additional requests may or may not be accommodated based on availability, timing and the discretion of City Births. Classes booked week of can not be altered or refunded.
City Births is not responsible for refunding or offering credit for classes missed as a result of scheduling changes, travel, illness, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond our control, City Births understands that from time to time schedules change and we will make every effort possible to accommodate an alternative date however due to the small size of our groups we tend to fill up months in advance and have to turn away potential clients when you reserve a spot in our class, we can make no guarantees that that we can accommodate schedule changes.
Requests for exceptions for medical reasons may be made on an individual basis, and must be accompanied by a physician’s or midwives written documentation.
City Births reserve the right to cancel classes or alter class times and will issue refunds accordingly. In the event of a re-schedule, every effort will be made to work with students' schedules.
We cannot offer refunds if you miss a class scheduled anytime after your 36th week.
